Sharing the Gospel and Saying Goodbye.

This morning I had the opportunity to pull a little girl aside and chat with her. We walked over to a grassy area and sat down in the shade. Her name is Shkirra (nickname is Kira – pronounced kear-ah) and she is about 6 or 7 years old. I asked her if I could tell her about Jesus and she said yes. We spent the next 10 minutes or so singing songs (Gospel Chariot πŸ™‚ and talking. I shared the Gospel with her and told her about how Jesus died for her, took the punishment for her sins, and how she can be with Him in heaven if she repents of her sins and believes. She didn't really say anything so I wasn't sure how it was going. After eating lunch she asked me if we could go out and talk about Jesus some more. It was really neat and I was so excited that she wanted to hear about Jesus and was willing to sit there and listen. She seemed to understand it all, so my hope is that a seed was planted in her heart today. πŸ™‚

Tonight was our last time with the Choctaw children. They were so much fun to spend time with! We even got to go swimming with them this afternoon. πŸ™‚ It was neat to see how much they learned during VBS and how much they enjoyed everything. Almost everyone of them wanted a hug goodbye (even some of the tough little guys, lol), so it was sad to leave them.

Tomorrow we have our last day with the summer program kids and then we will spend the afternoon visiting elderly shut-ins. Pray that it all goes well and for more witnessing opportunities.

Blessings,
Sarah T. πŸ˜€
