Choctaw Trip June 11-18

Flexability is one very necessary requirement for mission work.  We went to Mashulaville, Mississippi expecting to minister to children of the Choctaw Nation, but because of tribal elections the Choctaw rec. center was locked and we were only able to attend a swim party and a softball game with the Choctaw.

However, we did have a very busy and exciting week working with about 100 African American children at two sites, one in Mashulaville and one in Macon.  We got to help feed, play with, make friends with, give piggyback rides to, throw footballs with, teach tennis to, play basketball with, and most important teach these precious children about Immanuel, which means God with us.

With nick-names like Toot, Stank, and Fireball, it was an exciting time play with the children of another culture and to show them the love of God.

Did God change the hearts of any of the children we ministered to?  Only He knows.  Did God change our hearts to have compassion on these precious children?  Absolutely!
