You know this is the first time ever that i've done something like this so bear with me if I don't sound entirely like myself. We're through the third day of the trip and each day is better than the one before. My official job is teaching the kids the bible lessons and screwing up royally at it. But they are learning and better than I could have ever expected so I suppose I should be happy about how things are and not complain, especially since one of the passages we went over on the way here was about doingall things without grumblingor complaining. The kids are crazy and I would say rightfully so, I mean, we're only youngonce so might as well enjoy it, right? But mostly nowthey're pretty good and pay attention most of the time until I start rambling. one of the biggest things that you can do to help teach them to memorize their verses is to provide visual aid. Some of them are perfectly capable of reading even if they don't broadcast the fact. and I tell youu what, some of these kids are sharp. they are really smart and are wizards at findingthings out.. it's kind of depressing doing this tough because the kids are starved for attemtion. If you just listen to what they have to say and actually care about it then they'll bothlove andremember you forever. it just shows how much attention that they don't get elswhere which is really sad.
