So far this trip has gone really well.  I can really feel God's presence during everything we have done.  On Saturday, we went to the Choctaw fair to learn a little more about the culture and the people we would be working with.  On Sunday, I attended church at the Great Spirit United Methodist Church and we learned to "show and tell" our faiath.  Each of the GSUMC youth had a chance to tell their testimony and the church members were very responsive to that.
Monday was our first day of VBS not only at Great Spirt but also at Mashulaville where we stayed last year.  It was great to see Mrs. Beverly and her joyful love for the Lord and her kids again.  The children reponded to our songs and skit and really seemed to take it to heart.  Some of the children proceeded to "play" church, which amazed me because when I was seven I would play dolls, not pretend to be a preacher.  VBS at Great Spirit went surprisingly smooth.  The kids love to play basketball as usual but they enjoyed worship just as much which was a pleasure to see.
The week has just started so I'm excited to see what else the Lord has planned.
