More similarities than differences

Good evening,
We had another busy day at the dorm!  Our team worked hard

Here is what 8th graders Camila Trejo and  Kenzie Griffin had to say about our day:  Today was very effective and I feel like the service we did really helped others, and it showed us the importance of serving how Jesus did. We started off the day by assigning jobs and getting to work. Some of us cleaned out the loft and organized the screws in the shed, and others painted a linen closet. After about 3 hours it was time for lunch. We socialized, and connected deeper in our relationships with the group. We continued working by cleaning the wood in the house, getting mold off the bricks, painting some tables, cleaning trash cans, and continuing to paint the closet. We are bringing food to some of the people around the town tomorrow, so we began making cards for them.  We got ready for dinner, and at dinner I really felt that we connected. We found similarities that we didn’t know we had, and just had fun with each other’s company. It was neat meeting Mrs. Wright’s son and getting to see where he goes to school (Mississippi State) . Today I felt God showing the group the importance of service, and how it can grow our relationship with God and our faith.

Feel free to tag any of the pictures in the “Mississippi Mission Trip “ album on Facebook so they show up on your page also.  You can find the album on my page (Kristen Douglas Wright).
